Hair Color and Hair Treatment at Salon De Choix!

Wah-haa! I'm back with a new hair color and better hair condition!
Thanks to my hair salon sponsor, Salon De Choix!

This is me, just arrived at the salon, on a lovely Sunday afternoon.

And nothing's better than a cup of Mocha 
and the latest edition of Cosmopolitan!

This is the "BEFORE" hair of mine...
My previous red shade (only on the top layers and of a star shape, 
and if you don't know what I am talking about, check out my previous blog post [HERE].) 
have faded away.. Probably due to my frequent shampoo washes. 
What's left now are the various shades of brown.

For this time, I was going with red again. No, it wouldn't be red highlights, but red balayage waves instead. With a brown base color for the top layers, copper highlights and the red color will be at the bottom layer. It's like peek-a-boo style where by you may see the red portions here and there. It will be more obvious if I sweep my hair to one side, or when I tie my hair to a high ponytail. Other than that, it was basically suitable for work if I were to let down my hair. ;p

All the while, I really want to try the balayage technique to color my hair... But I did not as I told myself that if I really do want to try it, it has to be of an obvious color. And as you know, that may not be too 'work-friendly'. Though my company did not state anything about hair color, etc... However, I wouldn't really want to do that, since my job requires me to face clients. BUTTTT...... a meeting with XXX that took place on the Friday led me to feel freaking frustrated (Not frustrating enough to have me quitting though. LOL!). And for the one time, childish it may sound --- I decided I shall do something that I want, without giving a hoot about what people will think or say. So red color it was to be. And honestly, I do not regret it... As the end result was really awesome and my hair never 'looked' that happy for the longest time till that Sunday.

My stylist, Chester, chose the Pure Copper and Red shade.

Brown shade that Chester used was 12.5 level.

Going to start on my hair color soon!~
Clipping up the top layers so that the red balayage color can be applied! :)

The 3 color dyes that was applied! 
Red for the bottom layers for the balayage effect; Yellow for the copper highlights; and I know it may be kinda strange but the purple dye is actually for the brown base. Yup, it's purple.

After the red dye was applied on my hair, it was then wrapped in the foil.

Then, strips of copper highlights were then being carried out.

And finally, the base color was applied, mainly to the top layers of my hair.

Yup, I am so busy with work, that I brought my work laptop and organizer to do some work for the 6 hours that I am at the salon. 
Can I have 48 hours a day instead? *sigh*

What you see here is the top layers of my hair.
Below are my mid and bottom layers, carefully being separated 
by the plastic sheet to prevent any smearing of the colors.

Once time was up, the color dye was washed of my hair, 
and this is the color after my hair was towel-dried.

Next, it was hair treatment time!
Chester chose this particular hair treatment for me as I told him that I felt my hair was rather dry.

Chester applied the treatment onto my hair, and ensured that all 
hair strands were all coated with the treatment cream. 
He also gently massaged the cream into my hair.

Followed by the hair steam...

My hair was then blown dried.. 

And this is how my hair color looks like! Nice or what!? :p

It's been very long since I have done hair braiding.
So I requested to have my hair braided, 
other than just to blow curls for it.

This is how my red shade is... 
Red oh red... Brilliant, energetic and passionate color! My fav color!

I simply love how my hair always feels extremely 
soft and smooth after a hair treatment at Salon De Choix!
