*PART 1 - PHOTO-HEAVY*
Last Friday (18 June 2010) was definitely an evening for the local fans of the Korean female group, Wonder Girls, to remember. This was because Wonder Girls was in Singapore to perform in their first official music showcase (though it was their 3rd time in Singapore already)! The music showcase was organized by Sony Ericsson, whom had chosen the K-pop quintet to be the company's 'digital brand ambassadors' in the APAC region.
As our tickets belonged to the media side, we entered via another entrance, but we ended up in the same hall as the other ticket holders. Thankfully, we were given a special green 'Media' wrist tag to wear, so we could be on this platform where there were videographers from various media stations, and I got a bird's eye view of the whole concert. Spotted other bloggers like @dk and @joeteh too.
Jamie chose 3 people from the crowd and got them onto the stage. They had to watch a short dance demo clip by Wonder Girls of their latest music single, '2 Different Tears'. Afterwhich, they had to try their best of dancing to the chorus of the song. Jamie got the guy to dance first and he totally rocked it with his dance moves! And of course, he won, walking away with a new Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini mobile phone!
The winner did a lil encore of the dance, which I managed to capture part of it.

The group (they spoke in English, btw) gave updates about their career and their music. They also talked about their new single '2 Different Tears' as to how relationships and guys can bring 2 different types of tears - Tears of joy and tears of pain. Indeed, there are these 2 different types of tears, don't you agree? :)
Pretty and kind-hearted, the Wonder Girls raised money for a local children's charity organization through auctioning three Sony Ericsson X10 mini that comes with personally autographed covers by them! The 3 successful bidders also received a pair of tickets to this music showcase and got to receive the X10 mini personally from the group! WOWwww.....
Afterwhich, they went backstage to prepare for their first song. So Jamie gave out some freebies, throwing them into the crowd. It put everyone into a mad frenzy! :p

They next performed a song by Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha
with sexy dance moves to match! :p

And I was so glad that I gotten a pair of tickets to the showcase, thanks to @geekonomics and @HillaryChan! So I went with them, and got @anthonyl1m to come along with me (so that I could sing 'I want nobody nobody but you' to him. HEH!)! :D

Their new single '2 Different Tears' is really catchy! I prefer Brown Eyed Girls though. :s
